The Fountain with a Frog (Frog Fountain)

The Fountain with a Frog (Frog Fountain).

Initially located by the eastern wing of the palace, then moved to the garden by the Carp Pond opposite the Orangery. Made in eighteen forty-one, gifted to Princess Dorothea by King Frederick William IV of Prussia, based on the model by Christian Daniel Rauch and manufactured by Moritz Geiß's Berlin foundry. Reconstructed and moved by the Bober River in nineteen hundred five as part of Louis' Garden. The view to the left shows a dam on the Bober with a power plant established in nineteen twenty-four. Near the farm buildings of Dorothea's Farmstead, at its beginning, there was Schulenburg Square, commemorating the third and last husband of Princess Wilhelmina Catherine, Count Karl Rudolf von Schulenburg (seventeen seventy-eight, eighteen fifty-six), who later became the administrator of the princely properties during Princess Dorothea's reign. Continuing along Młynówka, we reach Elizabeth Bridge, today just a wooden footbridge leading to the Middle Park, also called the Pheasantry.
