Elves' Place

Elves' Place.

Located below and to the right of Valançay Square, in the central part of the Pheasantry, precisely where the Biron Line intersects with Wilhelmina's Meadow. The name departs from traditional nomenclature but allows for associating the place with peace, fantasy, and the need for rest. In the lower part of the stone, arranged by the bench, there is a date: twenty-ninth of May, eighteen fifty-five, marking the end of an important stage of setting up, which began in eighteen forty-four by Duchess Dorothea, a palace and park establishment, especially the Middle Park. We continue eastward and arrive at Stolberg's Place, one of the many friends close to the duchess.
